Behind the Sparkle!
Everyone, Meet Teresa Williamson
Role: President
Time with the Company: 5 years
Go to Jewelry Piece: Her rings! Teresa says she wears at least three every single day.
First, Letβs #BreakTheIce
Before jumping into the bigger questions, we wanted to start Teresa off with a few easy ones. Think of this as a warm up. A chance to loosen up, have a little fun, and break the ice.
βIf you were a piece of jewelry, what would you be and why?β
- If Teresa were a piece of jewelry, she would definitely be a dainty necklaceβ¦ but with a little sparkle, of course. Something that feels effortless and wearable every day, the kind of piece that becomes someoneβs go-to favorite. Subtle, meaningful, and always bringing just the right amount of shine.
βWhat jewelry trend would you bring back (or ban forever)?β
- Teresa is fully ready to bring back toe rings. She believes they are already starting to make their return, and she is here for it!! In her opinion, they are fun, stylish, and completely underrated. The verdict? Itβs time to end the toe ring stigma once and for all!
A Glimpse Behind the Sparkle
Here is where we take a look behind the scenes. This section highlights the work, the process, and the passion that help make the magic happen.
βWhatβs something people donβt realize about your role?β
- While many people think of Teresa as the βsoftware girl,β her role actually touches a little bit of everything at Ryze. Even though she tends to stay behind the camera and happily embraces her introverted side, she plays an active role in many parts of the company. From operations to development, she works closely alongside Cindy Lee and the rest of the team to help shape the company into what it is today.
βWhatβs your favorite part of the process behind the scenes?β
- Design is easily Teresaβs favorite part. Watching both the jewelry and the packaging come to life during the design process is something she finds incredibly rewarding. It makes every launch even more exciting, especially when she gets to see the reactions from consultants and hopes they love the pieces just as much as the team does.
βWhat advice would you give someone new to the jewelry industry?β
- Teresaβs biggest piece of advice is simple: donβt rush the process. Success doesnβt come from comparing yourself to others. Instead, focus on your own pace and your own growth. Be willing to put in the work, stay consistent, keep learning, and challenge yourself along the way. Growth takes time, and the most important thing is to keep moving forward.
Just for Fun π
Now, letβs lighten things up a bit. Mix in a little fun!
βWhatβs your most controversial jewelry opinion?β
- According to Teresa, gold and silver can absolutely be mixed. The jewelry police will survive.
βWhatβs your hidden talent that has nothing to do with work?β
- Teresa is an avid gardener and has developed a bit of a reputation for keeping notoriously delicate plants alive, including the ever-perishable String of Pearls. If you are looking for her outside of work, there is a good chance she is somewhere in the garden.
βWhatβs a jewelry rule you secretly love breaking?β
- Teresa loves jewelry that breaks the rules entirely. Off-center stones, mixed metals, unexpected designs, and necklaces with a random stone sitting on one side of the chain all make her happy. She also admits to being a pattern mixer when it comes to style.
βIf gemstones had personalities, which one would you get along with best?β
- Teresa says Moss Agate would absolutely be her match. Calm, earthy, and effortlessly grounded. In her words, a total vibe and a non-problematic queen.
Signature Question
I wanted to wrap things up with a question I ask everyone. It is our signature question of the series and a chance to reflect and connect with the field.
βWhatβs one thing you hope the field knows about our corporate team?β
- Teresa wants the field to know just how deeply the corporate team cares about the success of every consultant. Each member of the team pours their time, energy, and dedication into creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment for the field. Their goal is always to build a strong, happy community that ultimately extends that same energy to every customer. Teresa says she could not be more proud of the team they have built together.
We are SO lucky to have Teresa leading our corporate team. Thank you, Teresa, for bringing vision, creativity, and so much heart to everything you do.
Tune in next week for more #BehindTheSparkle β¨
